Witnessing animals suffering from violence is always distressing.
However, the cruelty inflicted upon a dog in this particular story surpassed all expectations.
When news broke about a dog found by animal activists in Vietnam with its muzzle taped shut, it left everyone speechless.
The activists were shocked to see a dog that had endured such a prolonged period of suffering.
They discovered a terrified animal, clearly having gone through unimaginable hardships.
Removing the tightly bound tape from the dog’s muzzle required precision and gentleness as it had become deeply embedded in the skin.
The pain the dog endured must have been excruciating. Such acts of cruelty are incomprehensible.
Upon successfully removing the tape, the vets made a distressing yet anticipated revelation: the tape had penetrated through the fur, skin, down to the bone. Thankfully, the removal procedure was successful.
Following the removal, the dog, now named Lucky, could eat on her own for the first time in a long while. However, the risk of infection in the wound remained high.
With proper care, Lucky gradually started to recover over the next few days, with her rescuers by her side throughout the process.
Ten months down the line, Lucky showed significant improvement in her condition, indicating a promising recovery journey. A heartwarming outcome!
Although scars of the heinous act on Lucky’s nose remain visible, she grew stronger and even resumed playing with her caretakers. Without their intervention, Lucky would have faced a tragic fate. Hopefully, the perpetrator responsible is brought to justice to prevent such atrocities from happening again.

After enduring 537 days of rehabilitation at the Vietnam Veterinary Center, Lucky found a new loving home with an adoptive family. She now resides in Germany, where she was relocated earlier this year, as mentioned by ARC Vietnam on their Facebook page.
