Rescued from the Trash: The Tale of Katje

A few years ago, a garbage truck driver spotted movement inside his truck, revealing a small kitten that had somehow found its way into the vehicle. This peculiar incident unfolded into a heartwarming story with a fortunate ending.

Justina Calgiano, from an animal shelter mentioned in a story on Love Meow, recounted, “The driver noticed movement in one of the garbage bags. Upon investigation, he discovered the kitten.”

During his usual rounds, the driver encountered an unexpected surprise! Thankfully, he rescued the kitten just in time and promptly brought it to an animal shelter.

Simultaneously, the kitten’s owner was on the lookout for her, wondering where she had disappeared to, a baffling mystery that hinted at the possibility of her being improperly discarded in a trash bag, an unthinkable scenario.

Experts at the animal shelter estimated that the kitten, named Grundgetta, was only a month old.

Upon reaching the adoption stage, a Facebook post was made seeking a new home for Grundgetta.

Soon after, there was heartening news from the shelter – Grundgetta had found a loving new family and a cozy home where she could play with her toys.

Here’s wishing Grundgetta a wonderful new life!
