Nicholson believed his grandmother was his biological mother, as his father left the family during his early childhood.
His sister, June, who later became an actress after working as a dancer, played a significant role in his life. At the age of 17, inspired by her, Jack moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
In 1963, June tragically passed away from cancer, and seven years later, Nicholson’s grandmother, Ethel, also passed away.
