There are thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted spending time in a shelter. And that can be hard for some animals. It depends on the visitors, which dog they want to adopt.
Especially pit bulls have a tough time. It’s one of the most common breeds in animal shelters. On one hand, because there are few people willing to adopt a pit bull, and on the other hand, because they have the reputation of aggressive, mean dogs.
But that’s a mistaken stereotype. They are just like other dogs, and have a lot of love to give to the people who give them a chance.
A pit bull without an owner showed the world what a fantastic pet he would be now. And when his story went around the world, his dream came true.
But while waiting for an owner, Rush (that’s the pit bull’s name) developed a daily routine that stunned everyone.
He made his bed every day!
It’s a chore that not even many people feel like doing, but this dog decided to make his dog bed every day. He did this by rearranging the sheet with his mouth.
The staff at the dog shelter said he did this every day for a whole month. They were even able to make a video showing how Rush manages to do it. And that eventually got him what he had hoped for.
The video was viewed 2 million times on YouTube. This neat dog quickly became an internet celebrity. And more importantly, the adoption requests came flooding in.
Thanks to all the attention, the shelter was able to find a suitable family for their little celebrity. But then the perfect family came along, determined to adopt Rush.
The family had actually submitted a request first, and as they were driving in their car, they coincidentally passed by a billboard with the name Rush on it. The signal that Rush was meant for them.
So, the family decided to visit the shelter to see if Rush was still available. It was the perfect match, and that’s how Rush finally found a home.
Look at that. Rush has finally found the perfect owner! What luck. And more importantly, he has now found a real bed.
