Social media platforms can be a double-edged sword.
While they allow us to connect globally and share experiences, they can also reveal the darkest aspects of human nature.
A disturbing trend has emerged among young people involving the TikTok app.
Several videos circulating on the platform depict animals being physically assaulted and subjected to brutal abuse.
It’s incomprehensible how anyone could inflict harm on innocent beings.
There is no justification for such barbaric acts, whether directed at animals or humans.
The appearance of videos on social media depicting animals as victims of violence for “entertainment” left me speechless.
TikTok, a platform popular among teenagers for sharing a variety of videos, from dance routines to animal clips, is now at the center of controversy due to a disturbing new trend among its users.
Dogs and Cats Beaten on Camera
To use the app, users are supposed to be at least 13 years old, but many youths disregard this age limit and create accounts regardless, as reported by The Sun.
The Sun highlighted several instances where cats and dogs attempted to escape from their abusive owners. The animals’ heads were violently struck in rhythm with music, and one video even shows a black dog trying to protect itself after being kicked by someone.
In another disturbing video, a woman is seen extinguishing a cigarette on a dog’s nose.
All these cruel videos have garnered over 3 million “likes.”
Cat’s Ears Crushed with Rubber Band
In another shockingly sadistic video, a kitten is shown pressing its ears together with its paw. The animal’s clear discomfort is evident in its reaction.
“These videos are extremely violent and dangerous, especially for young viewers using the app,” stated PETA manager Elisa Allen.

This is WRONG! Animals should be left alone. Stop this violence! Spread this article to warn others about this dangerous trend!
