Mother’s Nose Spot Turns Out to Be Flesh-Eating Cancer

Many people, including myself, have freckles or small spots on their faces. Usually, these are completely harmless, but not for the mother in this story. Her world was turned upside down after a visit to the doctor.
British woman Mandy noticed a spot on her nose two years ago, but she didn’t pay much attention to it.
Even when she decided to see a doctor, she thought a cream would be enough.
But the 37-year-old lady received news from the doctor that she never expected. Mandy was told that she could lose her nose if she wasn’t treated immediately.

Could Lose Nose
The doctor told Mandy that she could lose her nose if she wasn’t treated quickly. The spot on her nose was cancerous and was flesh-eating.
“I thought the doctor would just prescribe me a cortisone cream and be done,” Mandy told The Daily Mail.
“But when I was sitting with the doctor, he said he would have to remove a part of my nose. ‘No, you don’t need to, just leave it like that,’ I said.”
The doctors told Mandy that if they didn’t remove the spot, she might lose her entire nose in 5 to 10 years.
“He said it was eating my nose away. It hit me like a shock, but I just wanted to ignore it,” she told Daily Mail.
Youngest Person
The woman is now waiting to see if the operation was a success. If not, she will have to have more removed.
“My surgeon told me I’m the youngest person he knows who has experienced this,” she said.
Now she wants to share her story with the world to raise awareness about this issue and tell everyone to use sunscreen when outdoors.
“If my story helps just one person, then I’m happy,” she told Daily Mail.
We thank Mandy for sharing her story and bringing attention to this issue. We wish her a speedy recovery in the future.
