Two parents faced a terrifying ordeal when their five-year-old daughter vanished without a trace, leading to a misunderstanding within the family about her whereabouts.
Little Karina disappeared in the Siberian village of Olom, with her grandmother thinking she was with Karina’s father, who volunteered at the fire station. However, the father believed Karina was with her grandmother.
Several days later, Karina’s father, after finally reaching a phone, realized his daughter was missing. Her mother, Aitalana, promptly alerted the authorities.
Karina had wandered off with her dog Naida into the Siberian wilderness, an area known for its bear population.

Nine days later, Naida returned alone, guiding the search team back to locate the child.
Three days after that, Karina was discovered, exhausted, hungry, and covered in mosquito bites from her time in the wilderness.

“She was aided by our dog Naida, who stayed by her side, protecting her from the cold,” her mother added.
“The Olom forest is teeming with bears,” one rescuer informed Daily Mail.
Thanks to the brave Naida for protecting and comforting this young girl throughout her ordeal.
