Although she longed to have a dog at home, her parents insisted she complete her studies first. However, a heartwarming surprise awaited her just before Christmas.
Hallee Fuqua, a student at the University of Oklahoma in the US, had a strong desire to have a dog, but her parents believed it was best for her to focus on her studies first.
Passion for Rescue Work

Despite Rambo being different from other dogs, Hallee developed a special bond with him, often visiting him at the shelter outside of her working hours.
A Special Connection
As Rambo grew older and bigger, he found it challenging to find a permanent home, yet all he craved was love and companionship.
“He was very calm. Unlike most dogs that bark, he would just sit quietly. Almost like a hedgehog,” Hallee shared with Stillwater News Press, as reported by AnimalChannel.
Hallee shared photos and videos of Rambo with her parents, which struck a chord with her mother, Jessica.
“I knew he belonged with us. I had been saying ‘no’ for too long. He is meant to be part of our family,” Jessica expressed.
A Heartwarming Surprise
Unbeknownst to Hallee, her parents orchestrated Rambo’s adoption. On a magical Christmas morning, Hallee was met with the surprise of her life, bringing her to tears.
When Hallee stepped outside, she found Rambo waiting for her. Overwhelmed with emotion, tears flowed as the sweet dog approached her and showered her with affectionate licks.
