The coverage of the bushfires in Australia is heartbreaking, with a devastating inferno causing suffering to humans and animals.
However, amidst the tragic news, there is a glimmer of hope. Australian teens Micah, 19, and Caleb, 18, took it upon themselves to rescue endangered koalas in their area.
In the region where they reside, it is estimated that half of all koalas have perished due to the fires, potentially amounting to 25,000 animals.
This rescue effort took place on Kangaroo Island, where a distressing image of a baby kangaroo was recently shared.
A video capturing the heroic actions of these young men is now trending online. They proudly state that they managed to save around twenty koalas, although sadly, some did not survive their injuries.
