However, there are Dobermans like Khan who defy stereotypes. Khan, a neglected and abused dog, was rescued by Catherine Svilicic and her daughter Charlotte.

During a play session outdoors, Khan grabbed Charlotte’s diaper with his teeth, alarming the mother. Surprisingly, it wasn’t an act of aggression but a heroic act to save the baby.

The Svilicic family from Adelaide, Australia, had longed for a dog and found Khan, a Doberman, at an animal shelter.

Khan, malnourished and injured from previous abuse, was now safe and loved in a caring family.

Catherine decided to welcome Khan into their family, and soon realized that Khan was no ordinary dog. Charlotte, just 17 months old, bonded instantly with Khan. One day, a shocking incident unfolded while they were playing in the garden.

Catherine witnessed Khan biting Charlotte’s diaper and pulling her away, causing her to panic and fear for her daughter’s safety.

“Charlotte seemed in shock, and Khan started barking,” she told Adelaide Now.

It turned out that Khan was actually protecting Charlotte from a poisonous snake in the garden. After unsuccessful attempts to deal with the snake directly, he opted to move Charlotte to safety by grabbing her diaper.

Saved from Poisonous Snake

Khan, despite being bitten by the snake, collapsed at home. Luckily, the family had antivenom available, which saved Khan’s life. After a day of rest, Khan recovered without any harm.

Khan is now rightfully hailed as a hero by the Svilicic family, who rescued him just four days before his remarkable act.

“They were almost going to put him to sleep because he was in bad condition. If he wants food, we give it to him immediately. We are forever grateful to him,” Catherine expressed to Adelaide Now.
