A significant moment from Meghan’s past was when the father of a family she babysat for in college imparted lasting wisdom to her. He expressed, ‘Meghan, if you ever meet the love of your life, I want him to say the same thing to you that I said to my wife when we got married. “I swear I will always date my wife.”‘
Passing on this sentiment to Prince Harry, Meghan revealed that his response was, ‘I swear I will always date you.’ This mutual commitment, as Meghan described, forms the foundation of their relationship. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the initial spark and appreciation, even after exchanging vows, stating, ‘We have this bond because we are both committed to treating each other the same way as you did before having a ring on.
