During his waste collection route, a sanitation worker came across a truly unexpected find.
This act has earned him worldwide admiration and praise from animal enthusiasts.
“He noticed movement inside the bags. Upon opening one, he discovered the kitten,” stated Providence Animal Center to Love Meow.
It turned out that nestled among the garbage was a small kitten, in a rather grimy environment. Without the attentive sanitation worker, the situation could have been dire.
The circumstances that led to the kitten being in the garbage bag remain a mystery. The thought of someone discarding a kitten like this is unsettling. Nonetheless, the vigilant worker rescued the kitten from harm.
The next course of action involved taking the frightened little kitten to an animal shelter for a thorough evaluation by veterinarians to check for any injuries. The staff at the shelter were deeply impressed by the sanitation worker’s compassionate act towards the kitten.
The kitten, now named Dustball, received the necessary care she deserved. Despite a challenging start to life, Dustball captured the hearts of many.

Upon discovery, Dustball was estimated to be around three to four weeks old. She needed time to recuperate and regain her strength before being ready for adoption. Along with nutritious meals and affection, Dustball found companionship with other animals at the shelter.
After eight weeks, Dustball was prepared for adoption, with the shelter utilizing social media to find her a loving home. A photo of Dustball along with her story was shared on Facebook.
