Some animals experience heart attacks or unintentionally ingest poison.
However, it’s even more disturbing when fireworks are used to harm animals. Reports have surfaced about cruel individuals. Authorities are now seeking them.
The Longton Police in England shared details of a horrific incident where someone attached fireworks to a hedgehog’s head, lit them, and caused an explosion.

“Unfortunately, we had to euthanize the hedgehog due to its severe injuries,” stated South Ribble Police.
It’s appalling that someone would commit such a heinous act. Hedgehogs are cute and defenseless creatures. It’s heart-wrenching that this hedgehog met such a cruel, senseless end.
“Regrettably, we occasionally receive reports of fireworks being used to attack wildlife,” a spokesperson told BBC.
“We urgently seek information on the individual who attached fireworks to the hedgehog and appeal to the public for help in identifying the perpetrator.”
PixabayWhat’s most distressing is that the perpetrator remains at large, at least for now. Authorities are actively searching for the culprit.
“We urge anyone with information to come forward,” the police wrote.
Hopefully, someone will step up soon with information about the perpetrator, and they can be brought to justice. Let’s hope this hedgehog receives the justice it deserves!
