Model standing in swimwear can often be perceived as sexually provocative, but as you will see in these amazing images, that is not always the case.
What these images prove above and beyond is that you don’t have to be young to wear a swimsuit gracefully and beautifully – as Yazemeenah Rossi does here.
The below photos are a collaboration between online store The Dreslyn and lingerie house Land of Women. The Dreslyn founder Brooke Taylor Corcia wanted to show that swimwear advertising doesn’t have to be sexist and that older women can be equally represented in it.
According to the Huffington Post, Rossi was chosen for specific reasons: “Here was this woman who was a magical unicorn, who went through the process of aging and didn’t put on a face-lift and didn’t dye her hair,” Corcia said. “She stands for natural beauty.”
Looking at the photos, it’s hard to believe that the model in the pictures is 61 years old.

Believe it or not, Yazemeenah Rossi is 61 years old.
She was born in 1955 in France and grew up on the island of Corsica.
She is a model, artist, and self-portrait photographer based in Malibu, California.
The images are part of a campaign with The Dreslyn and lingerie house Land of Woman.
Dreslyn’s founder said the motive behind the collection was to find an alternative way to advertise swimwear – one that deviates from the typically highly sexualized nature of most.
On why Rossi was chosen, founder of online specialty store The Dreslyn said, “Here was this woman who was a magical unicorn, who went through the process of aging and didn’t put on a face-lift and didn’t dye her hair.”
The secret to her beauty? “There’s no secret,” Rossi says. “The only thing I have done is eat organic food and even that, not very much. It’s a question of attitude and energy – you know, love instead of fear.”
Rossi added: “I use oil on my skin. I put rapeseed oil in my hair. I do an exfoliation with olive oil and fine sugar once a week. I eat an avocado a day and only organic meat and fish.”
