Amanda Mena, who moved from the Dominican Republic to the United States at a young age, experienced bullying due to being different and struggling with English. Despite these challenges, Amanda found solace in music and her mother’s support, which strengthened her resolve to confront her bullies.

Driven by a desire to prove herself, Amanda, after years of singing for her family, decided to audition for America’s Got Talent at the age of 15. With a rendition of Aretha Franklin’s classic “A Natural Woman,” she aimed to showcase her talent and silence her tormentors.

Although initially nervous and haunted by memories of bullying, Amanda overcame her fears to deliver a breathtaking performance that captivated the judges and audience alike.
