The Surprising Ingredient Meghan Markle Adds to Almost Every Dish

In Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the spotlight is on natural ingredients like self-harvested honey and freshly picked blackberries. Among the various recipes showcased across the show’s eight episodes, one ingredient stands out: flower sprinkles.

Now, these are not your typical blossom-shaped icing sprinkles found on cupcakes. Meghan opts for dried flower petals to add a vibrant — and completely edible — touch to her dishes.

Meghan Markle’s Kitchen Must-Have: Flower Sprinkles

The use of flower sprinkles as a garnish sparked amusement not just for me but also for guest Mindy Kaling. When Meghan unveiled her jar of flower sprinkles to adorn a frittata in episode two, Mindy jokingly remarked, ‘What? Are you Tinkerbell?’ These botanical sprinkles, labeled by Meghan as ‘an accessory,’ serve as the perfect embellishment for a show dedicated to turning the ordinary into something enchanting. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a good accessory?

Throughout the series, Meghan sprinkles flower sprinkles on a variety of dishes, including apricot jam yogurt parfait, star-shaped sandwiches, a rainbow fruit bowl, and glazed donuts.

Interestingly, Meghan Markle will be introducing her own decorative flower sprinkles as part of the initial collection launch for her lifestyle brand As Ever, slated to be released in the US this spring.
