Keeping pets is a pleasure and a privilege. It is incomprehensible for sensible people to imagine ever harming your faithful companion.
However, unfortunately, we occasionally see completely heartless souls commit acts that defy imagination.
Such was the case last Sunday in Amsterdam Zuidoost, where a completely filthy cat was found at the garbage dump.
The distraught animal was locked in a box and smelled terrible. The poor creature had long gone without food and had necessarily dirtied itself immensely.

The rescue was a bit challenging as the white Persian was terrified. Eventually, the animal had to be freed by cutting open the box.
The Hugo Animal Hospital Zwanenburg hastily took on the task of medically checking the cat, after which the animal was transferred to a suitable shelter.
As of now, nothing is known about the owner and the circumstances of this brutal abandonment.
What a heartless monster you must be to have this on your conscience!
Hopefully, the Persian will have a beautiful life ahead, and the animal abuser will be caught.
