Miraculous Recovery: Brave Dog Finds Place to Die After Attack, Watch Her Journey to Healing

Cruelty to animals is atrocious and indefensible. Unfortunately, not everyone shares this sentiment.

When rescuers discovered a small dog trapped in a tight space, they were horrified by her condition.

She had been cruelly attacked with hot asphalt, leaving her back severely burned.

This poor pup’s life was hanging by a thread, but the rescuers spared no effort in helping her recover.

She was found wedged between two walls at a gas station in Ang Thong, Thailand.

The burns on her back and hind legs indicated a brutal encounter. It seemed she had sought that confined space to quietly pass away.

Asana Pomloy encountered the emaciated stray dog and couldn’t bear to leave her behind. Eventually, she rescued the dog and provided necessary care.

“I found the pup and could see her suffering. The gas station staff mentioned she had been there for two days, enduring unimaginable pain,” Asana shared with Newsflare.

The 4-month-old dog was then taken to a treatment facility for extensive rehabilitation.

Asana suspected that workers near the gas station were responsible for her injuries.

Moved to a new home

“The road workers nearby mentioned that one of them had poured boiling asphalt on the dog, possibly due to disturbances by street dogs in the area,” she explained.

The dog, now named Ma-Toi (meaning “asphalt”), received treatment at an animal hospital before being relocated to a shelter.

Owner Thannawat Thoophom revealed that it took time for the despondent dog to trust humans and accept treatment.

Today, Ma-Toi is healthy, stable, and free from her past wounds.

“Her story has resonated with many. Numerous individuals expressed interest in adopting her, but we aim to ensure her full recovery before placing her in a new loving home,” he added.
