Bloodied Wake-Up Call: Tourist’s Wife Realizes Huge Mistake
The red dragon
The couple didn’t understand what the masseuse wanted to do, but they suspected it might be some kind of “spiritual” thing.
“I have no idea what you’re saying, but I’m sure my husband would try anything, go ahead!” Candise replied.
In Daily Mail, she describes how the woman began to carve into her husband’s back with a coin, telling them that a “red dragon” would appear the next day.
This type of treatment, better known as “gua sha,” is designed to remove impurities from muscle tissue.
Practicing masseuses do this by using stones or coins to rub over a person’s back. This can often result in terrible red marks on the body.
The next day, Matthew was completely covered in these marks, from his neck to his tailbone.
The marks disappeared
“He has never complained about his back pain since then!” said Candise.
The coin didn’t worsen his skin, despite the red marks, and five days after the massage, his back was almost back to normal.
“The marks are still slightly visible, but almost non-existent.”
Getting massages is a delightful experience, I think we can all agree on that.
And while everything turned out well for Matthew, it’s always wise to check what you’re exactly “ordering” first. If the masseuse asks if you want a red dragon, it might be better to think about it first.
Or maybe it’s just what you need if you suffer from a painful back.
