One night in California, Latana Chai had just put her seven-month-old baby to sleep when she heard a commotion.
Outside her room, Sasha, the pitbull, was barking insistently and pushing against the door.

Sasha was desperately signaling the presence of danger to Latana. The house was on fire!
Recognizing the urgency in Sasha’s actions, Latana recalled, “The instant I opened the door, Sasha darted into the house, heading straight for the bedroom,” as told to Daily Mail.
Living in a two-story residence, Latana was alarmed to see the neighboring apartment engulfed in flames upon waking up.
Reacting swiftly, Latana grabbed her baby and watched in awe as Sasha bit the diaper, carrying the infant to safety.
Only later did Latana realize the magnitude of Sasha’s bravery.
“Thanks to Sasha, we managed to escape and seek assistance. Everyone is safe, all because of Sasha. She’s our hero, our savior. She saved us. Without her, it could have been catastrophic,” expressed Latana.
