The word ‘diet’ has a negative connotation and I’m not exactly a fan of it, personally. But the so-called “banana diet” defended by many nutritionists today is different.
Health Benefits of Bananas
Bananas are 74 percent water, but the fructose and carbohydrates give them a reputation as the weak link of the fruit and berry family. However, their health benefits outweigh many negatives.
The carbohydrates in bananas are a great source of energy. For example, many people eat a banana just before exercising, giving them the energy they need for peak physical performance.

Starting the Banana Diet
Start by buying a few bunches of bananas. They are the only things, along with water and milk, that you will use for the next four days. The best part is you can eat the bananas in any form you like. Mix them with milk to make a smoothie. Slice them and put them in a bowl or freeze them to make a cold snack. Eat about three bananas during each meal, and then eat another whenever you get hungry. You may feel a bit hungry at first, but your body will quickly adapt.
What Happens to the Body on the Banana Diet?
Since your body isn’t getting any other nutrition, you cleanse and flush out toxins for the entire four days. Drink plenty of water to maximize this effect. And don’t worry. Because bananas contain serotonin, or the happiness hormone, your mood will stay up during the four days and you’ll lose both water and fat weight, especially around your midsection.

When I first heard about this diet, I was initially skeptical. But after losing nearly nine pounds in a few days, I had to share it. It’s perfect for people looking to quickly cleanse their bodies. Please share it!
