Sleeping Troubles? Fall Asleep in 60 Seconds with this Doctor Trick!
There is nothing more frustrating than lying in bed unable to fall asleep.
You toss and turn, get up for a glass of water, disturb your partner’s sleep, and eventually just give up.

It’s even worse when you’re stressed about your job, or problems in your life. When you’re constantly worrying. Every time you go to sleep, those stressful thoughts come to the surface, or all the things you still want to do.
All of this obviously makes it much harder to fall asleep.
Fortunately, there is a simple trick you can use when facing a sleepless night.
The technique is called the “4-7-8” and involves a very simple breathing pattern.
You don’t even need to buy medicine or expensive materials. It’s all about learning to breathe correctly.
Doctor Andrew Weil came up with the technique and I have to say, it works like a charm.
The technique combines meditation and breathing, helping your body relax and prepare to rest. Most importantly, it’s very simple.

Here’s what you need to do:
- Follow your normal bedtime routine: brush your teeth, put on your favorite pajamas, etc.
- Lie down comfortably in your bed, and let your body relax.
- Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds, and then slowly exhale for 8 seconds.
- Repeat this pattern until you fall asleep. For many people, repeating it three times is enough to help them fall asleep.
Of course, it’s also good to have a consistent daily routine and to get enough exercise to tire your body before going to sleep.
The technique calms your heart rate and helps you relax.
