Mom’s Close Call with Popular Drink: Why She’s Warning Everyone Now

We all have our bad habits – but some are more dangerous than others.

Drinking milk straight from the carton or forgetting to turn off the light when leaving a room is not particularly dangerous because no one has died from it yet.

However, this young woman’s habit brought her dangerously close.

The 26-year-old Mary Allwood from England felt sick, had enormous pain in her side, and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

There, they discovered that her liver was twice the size of a normal liver. It had also become much heavier.

Doctors asked several times how much alcohol Mary drank, as her liver looked exactly like that of a person with severe alcohol problems.

But Mary was definitely not an alcoholic – she had a completely different addiction.

When doctors kept asking about her habits, she admitted to drinking 20 cans of Red Bull per day.

If she drank less, she became irritated and angry. In total, Mary spent about $4,000 per year on the popular energy drink.

Drinking 20 cans of Red Bull is equivalent to eating 17 chocolate cookies and 16 cups of coffee in terms of sugar and caffeine.

After her hospital visit, Mary immediately stopped drinking Red Bull. If she hadn’t done that, it would have meant certain death.

Five months later, to Mary’s great relief, it was found that her liver had shrunk to normal size. She had also lost weight.

Now Mary warns others. She knows better than anyone that energy drinks should be consumed as if they were alcohol. Responsibly.
