A man in Heywood, United Kingdom, cruelly posted on Facebook about killing a cat.
The 32-year-old became enraged with the cat, not his own, and chose to punish it in a horrific manner.
He threw the cat, named Buddy, into the washing machine and switched it on.
This resulted in severe injuries, leading to the cat’s death.
Cat murdered by being put into the washing machine
The man was apprehended after his Facebook post bragging about the incident, as per a report by Metro.
Following Buddy’s tragic demise, the man disposed of the body near a cemetery in a bush.
Fortunately, the cat’s owner was identified, as Buddy had a chip for identification.
The intense washing cycle likely caused heat damage due to high temperatures. Buddy also suffered fractures in his legs while trying to cling to the spinning drum.
Must have been a painful death
The cat’s death was undoubtedly agonizing and prolonged. According to a veterinarian, the cat probably endured considerable suffering before succumbing to shock or suffocation.
During the trial on February 29, the 32-year-old received a 14-week prison sentence and a lifetime ban on animal ownership.
This kind of cruelty is unacceptable!
