When a helpless dog was found tied up on a garbage dump, a group of animal heroes took immediate action.
Animal cruelty is unfortunately a common occurrence that needs to be exposed and stopped. Every animal deserves a chance.
This is the core mission of Stray Rescue of St. Louis, an animal welfare organization based in St. Louis, Missouri.
One of the recent cases they encountered involved finding a dog tied up with a cable, trapped amidst a large pile of garbage, a distressing scene.

The compassionate individuals were alerted and promptly went to the location. Upon making eye contact with the dog, they approached and successfully freed her.
They then proceeded to a nearby house to inquire if anyone recognized the dog.
– “We knocked on the door and asked, ‘Is this your dog? Do you know this dog?’ The response was, ‘No, but she has been there for a while. In fact, she got so entangled that she was hanging on the cable,'” Stray Rescue of St. Louis shared on their Facebook page.

There was confusion as to why no one had alerted them earlier and sought help immediately.
– “We are unsure why we weren’t contacted when the dog was in distress, but we are thankful that she is now safe. She has endured a lot and still does not trust us,” stated the animal organization.
The dog is currently receiving the necessary support and care she requires.
– “Our exceptional training team is working with her to demonstrate that she will never be harmed, abandoned, ignored, or deserted again. She can break down the barriers around her when she is ready. Stray Rescue provides dogs with the time they need,” they further added.
