The dog was just a walking skeleton when he was brought in for euthanasia. But an animal lover had other plans for him.
A few months later, the transformation was complete.
The poor dog was skin and bones when he arrived at the vet’s office to be euthanized.
The poor dog was badly affected. Its fur had come loose in several places, it had infections in its ears and over large areas of its skin. The poor little dog also had a heart murmur.
But before he could fall asleep, the vet decided to contact a shelter in the hopes of saving his life.
The poor dog was named Ryks and was placed in a foster home where he was well cared for by his foster mother Hillary.
Even though Ryks was used to hunger and abuse by his owner, he was open to trusting Hillary to take care of him, and she did.
But to get better, he needed care right away.
Began to feel better slowly
But with the right care, nutrition, and nursing, Ryks soon began to feel better.
In just six weeks, he changed from a skeleton to a brand new dog. The transformation is truly unmatched.
His foster family describes him as sunshine itself and the strongest dog they have ever met.
Within a few months, he was unrecognizable.
This is how he lives today
The poor little dog who barely survived was now a lively and mischievous husky.
When Ryks was feeling better, it was time for him to move to a permanent home. His foster parents were clearly saddened to let him go, but they knew his best days were still ahead of him.
Plus, he would have a four-legged brother or sister to play with for days on end.
