Thief Tries to Steal Bike – Until Unexpected Hero Dog Steps In

Becoming a victim of burglary is something we all worry about.

To prevent unauthorized visitors from thieves, we invest in locks and alarms, some even rely on the family dog to keep the thieves at bay.

But for one household, it was a disappointment when they realized how the family dog dealt with an intruder…

Dogs are among the most beautiful creatures on this earth. They are loyal and loving, deep down all dogs are good-hearted.

Without dogs, we humans would have done much worse. Dogs are needed everywhere in society. They are indispensable as companion dogs and useful as police dogs or service dogs, for example.

There are certainly many dog owners who believe that the dog should also be able to act as a guard dog. Often they can do so unhindered, but not always.

Unwanted visitor

On July 15 this summer, a family in San Diego fell victim to a burglary. It was just before eleven o’clock in the evening.

A thief entered the unlocked garage and was about to drive away with an expensive bike when he was suddenly discovered.

It was the Golden Retriever of the family who had noticed the unknown thief. The whole series of events was captured on the family’s surveillance camera and was, to say the least, a strange sight.

Thief becomes friends with the dog

In the video, you can see how the thief suddenly dismounts from the bike as the dog approaches. Instead of running away, he bends down and starts hugging the dog.

In the recording, you can hear the thief talking to the dog and saying things like: “your owner shouldn’t leave the garage door open” and “you’re the coolest dog I’ve ever met.”

The dog seems most excited about the uninvited visitor, and when he finally rides away, you can see the dog wagging his tail happily.

In the video player below, you can see the footage of the dog and the strange thief, shared by the police. They still haven’t caught the thief.
