In an interview with E! News, Kristen revealed that her husband, Dax Shepard, is not jealous of her scenes with Adam because they lack real-life chemistry, despite their intense on-screen tension. Kristen admitted, ‘If you saw us in real life, there just isn’t any chemistry.’
‘We’re like an old grandma and grandpa on set, it’s totally not hot and passionate.’ Kristen mentioned that despite the absence of romantic sparks with Adam, she and Dax maintain a ‘fundamental trust’ in their marriage, crucial in their industry where romantic scenes are common.
The key to Kristen and Dax’s successful marriage
‘Even if Dax were to kiss the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he is committed to our family,’ Kristen added. The couple believes that communication is vital in the success of their marriage.
‘We’re just humans, right? So maybe there will be a day when I say, “I’m actually nervous that you’re spending so much time with that person,”‘ she explained. ‘And then he can say, “Oh, okay, let’s talk about it.” We communicate very openly with each other.’ Kristen has previously mentioned that Dax, her spouse since 2013, shares the same viewpoint.
