Kate Middleton’s Kids’ Art: A Royal Showcase

Many children have tried drawing their family members, and this includes the British royal family. Kate Middleton recently shared a series of portraits hand-drawn by her three children and Prince William on her official Instagram account. These portraits were created as part of a campaign for the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. Kate also shared a drawing that she did herself.

Kate Middleton shares beautiful portrait drawings

Prince Louis (6) and Princess Charlotte (9) created colorful portraits that appear to be of their mother, while Prince George (11) drew a simple black and white sketch of his mother sitting in an armchair. Kate also contributed with a pencil sketch showing her son Louis with his eyes closed.

These portraits were part of the Shaping Us Framework of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which aims to raise awareness about early childhood brain development. The Instagram post caption reads:

‘The @earlychildhood Shaping Us Framework describes the social and emotional skills that begin to develop in early childhood. These skills are essential throughout our lives: they shape who we are, how we deal with our thoughts and emotions, how we communicate and build relationships, and how we explore the world around us. Drawing portraits with children can create a valuable moment of connection, as you take the time to truly see and focus on each other, while being creative – but above all, having a lot of fun together!’

We will see more of Kate Middleton again

Kate Middleton has been involved in the Shaping Us Framework since it began in 2023 and launched the initiative during a reception in London. Her renewed dedication to Shaping Us aligns with an increase in her public appearances, and she is expected to make more throughout the year.
