Everyone who has ever had a pet knows how heartbreaking the thought of something happening to them can be.
So, when the dog Sammi was told that he would most likely never be able to walk due to a neck condition, his mother was devastated.
But after three months in a rehabilitation center, she was met with a sight she won’t soon forget.
The bond between a dog and its family is one of the most beautiful things there is.
It’s based on so much love, and for most people, the dog becomes an important and beloved family member.
That’s exactly how it was for Sammi from California.
When he developed degenerative changes in his neck, his mother Jane was both desperate and sad.
Could never walk again
The whole situation quickly turned around and Sammi was likely to become paralyzed and never be able to walk again.
But Jane wanted to do everything in her power to help him, so she contacted California Animal Rehabilitation in Santa Monica.
There, Sammi had to undergo surgery and undergo several months of intensive treatment.
A dog with fighting spirit
Veterinarians and rehabilitation staff worked hard to help Sammi regain his strength. Fortunately, he turned out to be a real fighter.
When his mother arrived at the center after three long months without her beloved dog, she knew that everything had gone well.
But still, the reality was beyond expectations, and when she saw Sammi coming towards her with a wagging tail, she could hardly believe her eyes.
Magical moment when they reunited
Jane threw her bag on the ground and covered her mouth in pure shock. She is emotionally shattered.
The happiness was complete and it truly showed how much love she felt for her beloved Sammi.
