A chilling video seen online serves as a stark reminder of the importance of properly securing children in vehicles.
Footage captured two toddlers walking on a Texas highway after being thrown from a car during a crash on Sunday.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed that the incident occurred on Interstate 10 in Freeport, TX, where one car rolled over multiple times, ejecting an adult and two young children.
The immediate aftermath of the crash was shared on Facebook.
“The kids were standing up, a good sign. Just scraped,” mentioned the initial video sharer.
Following the collision, two men rushed to the disoriented toddlers and escorted them to safety.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office informed Chron that the investigation regarding the accident’s cause was still ongoing, with potential charges pending against the driver.
It remains uncertain whether the children were seated in car restraints at the time of the crash.
The children were taken to a nearby hospital and were listed in serious but stable condition. Thankfully, the occupant of the other vehicle escaped unharmed.
Fortunately, these little ones had someone looking out for them. Let’s hope for their full recovery. Please join me in sending positive thoughts their way following this dreadful incident.
