Kids are the most precious thing we have, and the little ones deserve all the safety and love they can get.
But unfortunately, that’s not always the case…
When a mother recently gave birth to twins, she had no idea what the father was planning.
A family in North Carolina, USA, recently experienced a serious tragedy caused by the father of the family.
The couple already had one child, and a month ago, the mother gave birth to twins in the hospital.
The twins, a boy and a girl, were born prematurely, but both children were doing well and appeared healthy.
The couple ended up in a special unit for premature babies. The mother was overjoyed with the new addition to the family and went into the room where the newborn girl was. Meanwhile, the father was with the newborn boy in another room.
“He seemed happy… like a proud father,” she told WRAL news, “I never thought this would happen… I trusted him, he was the father… he loved his babies.”
It was then that the father did the unforgivable…
He shook his child vigorously
According to the mother, medical staff informed her that the boy had suffered brain damage similar to that caused when a baby is shaken vigorously.
He had no external injuries. But due to his brain damage, he was deprived of oxygen. The doctors shortly after discontinued life support, and the boy fell asleep forever…
After the tragic event, the father was arrested. He is currently in custody, awaiting his trial which begins on November 6th. He is charged with murder and child abuse.
The mother asked all her loved ones on Facebook to mourn in peace. She does not want to talk about the incident for a while.
