4-year-old MaKinleigh’s Dream of Horseback Riding
According to reports, MaKinleigh Ann McGee, born on April 6, 2018, in Evansville, Indiana, was the second of four siblings in her family.
Throughout her young life, MaKinleigh harbored a dream of riding horses. Her family had planned to take her to Lark Ranch in Evansville to fulfill this dream. Additionally, she had hoped to dress up as a princess for Halloween in the coming weeks.
Tragically, her life was cut short unexpectedly.
A Tragic Accident Unfolds
On October 7, 2022, MaKinleigh was involved in a car accident that claimed her life. MaKinleigh’s aunt, Kristin Pride, expressed:
“We were not prepared to lose our sweet girl, and no one should ever have to endure such heartache.”

Naturally, MaKinleigh’s untimely passing has left her family shattered. Her father, who was driving during the accident, remains hospitalized in the ICU.
A GoFundMe campaign set up for the father and daughter has raised nearly $14,000 to date. The description reads:
“Our father is still in intensive care, and the uncertainty of his future weighs heavy on us. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers we have received.”

A Message of Grief
MaKinleigh’s mother, Bianca, shared her deep sadness on social media following her daughter’s passing.
“God has taken my precious, intelligent, beautiful, and caring little girl home, and all I wish for is more time,” she penned.
She continued: “All I long for is to awake from this nightmare, hear your voice urging me to wake up, and be able to say ‘good morning, ray of sunshine.’ Mommy loves you.”
The pain and sorrow that MaKinleigh’s family must be enduring is unimaginable. The loss of a child is a tragedy no one should ever have to face.
