Becoming a parent marks a significant life event. It entails caring for a new life beyond one’s own existence.
A couple from Texas cherished their daughter wholeheartedly. Little did they know that a tragedy awaited them…
On April 24, 2021, Alaina and Brandon Majors tied the knot, embarking on a new journey as husband and wife. Their loved ones shared in their joy.
Months later, Alaina gave birth to their daughter, Ellianna Majors, filling their hearts with love from the moment she arrived.
The proud parents delighted in posting photos of their daughter on social media, sharing glimpses of her various poses and activities with friends and family.
As Ellianna turned one, her parents joyfully celebrated her first birthday.
On a seemingly ordinary day, on October 4, 2022, around 11:20 a.m., Alaina was outside by the mailbox with her daughter.
Shortly after, authorities in Henderson County received a report of an accident in the vicinity of the family’s residence.
Tragically, both mother and daughter were involved in the accident. Nathan Simmonds, 25, was speeding in a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado over a hill when the mother and child stepped in front of his vehicle, resulting in a fatal collision.
Regrettably, Ellianna passed away instantly, while Alaina was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Michael Englehardt, claiming to be Alaina’s uncle, stated: “This was a senseless accident that could have been prevented if the driver had not been speeding over the hill.”
Refuting allegations that Alaina had stepped in front of the vehicle, he highlighted the dangerous curve in the area near Alaina’s home, attributing it to the accident.
An official investigation is currently ongoing to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this tragedy, with hopes of providing the family with answers.
During these challenging times, our hearts are with the family. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain. Rest in peace, sweet Ellianna.
