On a cold, windy day in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) last month, a woman named Kristina Hollie was waiting at a bus stop with a colleague.
While waiting, they witnessed a woman walking her dog. The woman secured the dog to a tree before entering the post office.
Noticing the dog shivering from the cold, the owner did something incredibly kind—she gave her coat to the dog!
Describing the moment, Kristina told The Dodo, “She immediately took off her coat and covered the dog while he sat. Maybe she thought he would kick it off, so she bent down and zipped it around him!”
Kristina made sure to acknowledge the woman’s act of kindness and thanked her for looking after her dog. The woman simply replied, “Thank you! I don’t want him to be cold!”
Sharing the heartwarming photos, Kristina posted them on the Dogspotting Facebook group, where they received thousands of positive reactions.
Even as Kristina boarded the bus, she noticed the dog still waiting outside for its owner, but now warm and content.
Reflecting on the incident, Kristina mentioned that several passersby also commented on how cute and well-protected the dog looked.
