Responding to Distress
Inside the car, Pedro noticed a woman with her children seated in the back. However, the woman seemed incapacitated as the car passed by him.
“I sensed something was wrong with that woman, and I knew I had to take action,” Pedro shared with Inside Edition.
The children’s cries of “Mom, mom! What’s happening?!” heightened the urgency as the car continued to move with the motionless mother inside.
Risking It All
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Pedro deduced that the woman might have suffered a stroke or a similar medical emergency, leaving her unresponsive as the car rolled on. The children’s pleas drove him to act.
“I realized that if these children were to lose their mother that day, it would be devastating. Even if it meant risking my life to save her, I would do it,” Pedro expressed.
