One individual who faced this reality firsthand is Marcus Bradley, a dedicated delivery driver in Danville, Virginia, for over a decade.
In 2015, while making a two-part delivery, Marcus was informed he couldn’t complete the second part because of his race, sources revealed.
His boss conveyed a shocking message: “Because you’re black, they don’t want you at their house,” denying Marcus the right to finish his job.
His colleague Alex Brooke, present during the incident, also expressed dismay not only at the customer’s racism but also at the company’s compliance with it.
The swift replacement of both Marcus and Alex by other drivers sparked outrage and led to their manager’s dismissal.
