Recently, Jerome and Ashley Kennedy had a baby and were enjoying their new home in the American city of Pittsburgh.
However, their house was quite old, and the house next to them was in disrepair and needed renovations. When they heard noises and strange sounds at night, they thought it was coming from the house next door.
The couple wondered if there might be an animal in the attic, but the noise was too loud to be from an animal.
It wasn’t until Jerome installed cameras that they saw who the “culprit” was. They were in shock, to say the least.

Their daughter slept in their room, so they were used to being woken up by her at night. But when they heard noise from the attic, they knew something was wrong.
Jerome decided to install some cameras in the attic to find out where the noise was coming from.
When they reviewed the camera footage, they were completely shocked because the truth was scarier than they had ever imagined.

Renovating the House
When the couple watched the footage, their suspicions were confirmed. There was a man in their attic.
It was 69-year-old Robert Havrilla. He was renovating the house next door.

The couple claimed that the man was spying on them from their attic.
Jerome told Inside Edition that he discovered a removable wall leading to his neighbor’s attic, as well as some holes in the walls.
“It’s creepy when you know someone is in your house,” lawyer Jack Goordich told Inside Edition.

Denied Wrongdoing
“I really think he was watching us.”
Robert Havrilla, who claims he did nothing wrong, was found guilty of trespassing in July 2018. That Channel 11 News reports.
