From 3 to 18: Miley the Dalmatian Shatters Puppy Birth World Record!

Puppies are one of the most adorable creatures on Earth. It’s hard to resist their charm, and cuddling with a cute little puppy is incredibly comforting.

However, looking after a puppy around the clock is a whole different ball game.

Owning a puppy can be as demanding as caring for a newborn baby. You have to constantly monitor them, ensure they are well-fed, and can get enough rest.

Yet, one of the biggest challenges is house training the puppy. It’s common to have a few ‘accidents’ indoors before they learn.

While most of us can’t fathom taking care of multiple puppies, an owner from Australia certainly has firsthand experience.

Do you enjoy heartwarming moments and extraordinary birth stories like I do?

Let’s revisit a memorable story that has stayed with me ever since I first came across it.

On May 18th, 2017, Miley, the Dalmatian, gave birth for the first time. Miley and the father of the puppies, Astor, were excited to welcome their little ones into the world.

The veterinarian had initially predicted that Miley was carrying three puppies.

However, owner Cecilia Langton-Bunkergot was in for a surprise when Miley continued to deliver puppies beyond anyone’s expectations.

Miley gave birth to a total of 16 puppies! As if that wasn’t enough, an additional two Dalmatians arrived 14 hours later!

In total, there were 18 puppies—a record-breaking number for a birth in Australia.

This event has drawn comparisons to the famous Disney movie ‘101 Dalmatians’. While Miley didn’t reach 101, having 18 puppies is still quite a remarkable achievement.

Out of the 18 puppies, twelve are females and six are males. All the puppies are in good health, have been vaccinated, and are properly identified.

Undoubtedly, Miley and Cecilia will have their hands full in the coming days caring for this large furry family.
