A Mother’s Heartbreak: Revealing the Truth Behind 1-Year-Old Chloe’s Tragedy on a Cruise Ship

On the Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Puerto Rico, a tragic incident unfolded when 1-year-old Chloe fell from the eleventh floor to the ground below.

Now, the parents are shedding light on the true events and pointing fingers at the cruise ship for the responsibility.

The toddler was with her grandfather in the ship’s playroom on the eleventh floor. As per the family, on that ill-fated July 7th, the grandfather lifted Chloe and placed her on the railing to see out the window.

Chloe’s Tragic Fall

The playful moment turned disastrous when the grandfather accidentally dropped Chloe from the eleventh floor.

“I had no idea that she had fallen out the window. I just kept saying ‘bring me to my baby, where is my baby?’ I just ran and ran. There was no pool, it was concrete. Losing our baby this way is just unimaginable,” expressed mother Kimberly Wiegand to Today.

“I thought there was glass”

Kimberly mentioned that the grandfather is devastated by the loss of his grandchild, insisting it was a tragic mistake as he was unaware there was no glass on the railing.

“He was hysterical. He keeps saying ‘I thought there was glass everywhere’. He keeps crying and crying. He has never, ever put our children in danger,” shared Kimberly with Today.

Call for Action from the Cruise Company

The family has retained legal counsel to hold the cruise company liable for the incident, arguing that the window in the playroom on the eleventh floor should have been shut. All other windows were closed except the one Chloe fell from.

Currently, the family is seeking answers from the company, as reported by Today.

“We naturally hold them accountable for failing to implement appropriate safety measures on the eleventh floor. There were numerous precautions they could have taken to enhance safety. My mom kept questioning why a window on the eleventh floor would be left open,” Kimberly Wiegand stated to Today.

“Ventilation vs. Safety”

However, the cruise company responded minimally to the criticism, according to Kimberly.

“Their only response was, ‘We need ventilation’. But my counter to that is, ‘Then provide it using fans or other means to ensure the safety of your guests, instead of overlooking significant safety issues jeopardizing our children.’”

As per Aftonbladet, the cruise company opted not to comment on the accident. The Puerto Rican government is investigating the incident on their premises.

Rest in peace, dear Chloe. Please share this to show support for the family.
