2-Year-Old Cancer Patient Refuses to Give Up – Shocking Discovery Leaves Doctors Stunned

For a parent, there is no worse nightmare than something happening to your child. As a mother or father, you do everything to keep your child safe for a very long time. But there are things that no one can protect themselves against. Little Orla has spent much of her life in the hospital. Life outside the hospital walls is a strange world for the girl, whose parents received terrible news when she was only 20 months old. Now the doctors don’t know what to do.

Cancer before her 2nd year of life

When Orla was only 20 months old, her family received the worst news they could ever get.

Doctors informed the family that their beloved little girl had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a brain tumor, according to The Sun.

Since then, little Orla from Broxbourne, England, has spent most of her life in the hospital.

But now, months after the diagnosis, the doctors have reached a standstill.

The doctors don’t know what to do

Orla has an incredibly rare mutation, which affects her health condition.

Her mother Naomi and father Adam have been told by specialists that they are not sure how to best treat her illness, as they cannot find another case in Europe.

She has undergone several surgeries and radiation, but nothing seems to help.

Due to her unique situation, nothing seems to have any effect on little Orla.

The family refuses to give up hope

Due to the treatments, Orla has become infertile, meaning she will not be able to have children of her own in the future if she chooses to.

The family hopes that Orla can undergo a trial treatment abroad.

With the help of specialists in Europe, they hope to find a treatment for Orla.

The family has started a fundraising campaign in hopes of being able to afford the proposed trial treatment.

But it will be difficult. Since there is no other known case with Orla’s condition, specialists have to try to find new avenues.

“It’s shocking how little is known about this disease and how underfunded brain tumor research is. I wish we didn’t have to raise this money, that’s the last thing we want to think about now that our little girl is so ill,” says mother Naomi.

“Hopefully we won’t need it and the money can be donated to research for future patients, but we have to be prepared.”

We’re thinking of you, little Orla, and hope you feel better soon, brave little warrior!
