Every now and then we have those moments where we want some change in our lives. A new job, a new home, or maybe just a different haircut.
A different haircut is exactly what sheep Baarack got.
The sheep has become world-famous after losing 35 kilograms of wool.
Seeing people you know with a new haircut is fun, they look completely different and have a fresh, new look.
I might never go for a completely new hairstyle, but for others, it can often be a fresh start.
So it was for sheep Baarack.
Baarack lived his whole life outdoors and never had the chance to do anything about his massive amount of wool. It just kept growing!
When the animal was found by an animal lover, they couldn’t believe it was a sheep.
Ear chip no longer working
The sheep’s coat had grown so thick that the poor animal could hardly see anymore. But luckily, some animal lovers put him out of his misery. This was reported by News Sky.
Because his wool had become so thick, the staff at the Edgar’s Mission organization decided to help the animal.
“I think Baarack once had an owner,” says Kyle Behrend from the organization.
“He had a chip in his ear, but it seemed to no longer work due to the thick wool around his head.”
A magnificent transformation
Sheep are usually regularly sheared to prevent the wool from growing too thick.
The animal lovers knew that Baarack still had a beautiful life ahead of him, so they decided to free him from his dozens of kilos of wool.
The shearing wasn’t an easy task but the result was incredible.
After a long haircut, a whopping 35.4 kilograms of wool were collected!
“His hooves were still in good condition from climbing rocks, but his health had deteriorated. He had little real body weight, and due to all the wool around his face, he could hardly see,”
Baarack can now enjoy life again and is dozens of kilograms lighter.
“It proves just how strong and courageous sheep really are, and we certainly love these lovely animals.”
Wow. Can you believe this? What a transformation. We are glad that Baarack can finally see again!
