71-year-old Ellen Flemming, a frequent traveler, encountered an unexpected and distressing incident with Air Canada staff while flying from British Columbia to New Brunswick with her husband and grandchildren.

As reported by Inside Edition, the situation unfolded when Ellen noticed litter in front of her on the plane and politely requested assistance from the crew. Unfortunately, instead of helping, the flight attendant reacted with anger and declined her request.
Ellen expressed her surprise at the steward’s response and unjustified behavior but remained composed. She attempted to tidy up by placing the trash on a cart, yet her actions were met with resistance as her arm was pushed away. She eventually resorted to nudging the trash with her foot.
71-year-old Ellen thrown off plane
Just when Ellen believed the issue was resolved, the pilot announced that the plane had to return due to an incident.

Upon landing, she was escorted off the plane by the police.
Per Inside Edition, Air Canada alleged that Ellen “exhibited aggressive behavior towards the flight crew,” threw trash onto a food cart, and kicked a steward when asked to wait until the service was completed.
Despite these claims, passenger Helen Hollet, who sat across from Ellen’s family, disputed the accusation of aggressive behavior, stating that most passengers were unaware of the situation.

Both Helen and the police saw no grounds for further action, deeming that no criminal offense had transpired.
