Many of us have experienced photoshoots with our loved ones to mark life’s significant moments, like engagements and pregnancy announcements. While we often aim for perfectly staged and photogenic photos, it’s the candid moments that end up being the most unforgettable.
Unexpected animal appearances can lead to hilariously memorable photos, as demonstrated recently when a horse decided to join in and comically steal the spotlight during a couple’s photoshoot.
Expectant mother Amanda Eckstein from Indiana desired a beautiful pregnancy photoshoot with her partner and enlisted photographer Kristen Zaffiro from Cincinnati for the task.
During the shoot, the couple opted to include their horses in a few pictures.
However, it took Kristen some effort to get the horses to pose correctly. “When it was time to capture the horse photos, they weren’t positioned as we had hoped,” she shared with WJW.
Eventually, she managed to position one of the horses, Buckshot, in front of the camera. All she needed now was to get him to smile. “We finally got the perfect shot, and I jokingly said, ‘You can at least smile,'” Kristen remembered.
To her surprise, the horse actually complied. Suddenly, Buckshot struck a pose with a big, comical smile for the camera!
The amusing photos continued to flow. “Whenever I laughed, he laughed even more,” Kristen recounted.
In another comical shot, the horse is captured laughing with its mouth wide open, while Amanda gives a playful look:
While their horse stole the show, the couple couldn’t contain their laughter and ended up giggling uncontrollably at his broad smile.
“I couldn’t stop laughing!” shared Kristen on Facebook. “Truly the best maternity shoot ever.”
Although Buckshot may be a camera prankster, he also knows how to strike a “serious pose” when required:

It’s evident that this couple regards their horses as family, and it’s heartwarming that they included them in their photoshoot.
A follow-up photoshoot will undoubtedly be necessary. We all want to witness Buckshot’s reaction to the new baby!
