Kate Middleton Revives Vintage Style in Visit to Wales

Kate Middleton has demonstrated time and time again the beauty of re-wearing clothing, and her recent choice truly brought back a nostalgic vibe. During her visit to Wales, Kate was spotted wearing a jacket that she had worn when she first met Prince William. Adorable!

Kate Middleton embraces outfit repeats without hesitation, and this time was no different. The Princess of Wales showcased this by donning a jacket she was previously seen wearing back in 2007.

Kate Middleton pulled this ‘old’ jacket out of the closet for recent visit to Wales, which she also wore in 2007

On a recent Wednesday, Kate and William visited the town of Pontypridd in Wales, and Kate opted for a familiar piece from her extensive wardrobe. The highlighted jacket? A brown tweed garment which, as per People, is reportedly from Ralph Lauren. (Images at the end of this article) Clearly, this piece has survived multiple closet clean-outs over the years, proving that some items are truly timeless.

According to People, ‘the jacket has been in her wardrobe for at least eighteen years.’ Devoted fans of the royal family most likely remember the exact occasion when Kate sported this brown tweed jacket. Approximately eighteen years ago, in March 2007, as per People‘s account, she had it on during the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival.

At that time, she matched the jacket with a corresponding midi skirt crafted from the same tweed material, paired with a light blouse underneath the well-fitted jacket. Fast forward to this week, she elegantly combined the familiar piece with a black turtleneck and a checked long skirt. A perfect example of embracing outfit repeating.
