“Violence is never the answer.” This is a message parents instill in their children worldwide. However, when the safety of their children is at stake, their reactions can change.
One father found himself in such a situation when he caught a stranger taking inappropriate photos of his teenage daughter.
In late July, Ismael Duarte was at a shopping center with his wife and daughter when he noticed a man behaving suspiciously around his daughter with a phone in hand.
“What caught my attention was how he held the camera when he approached my daughter,” Duarte shared with ABC News.
Duarte witnessed the man trying to take intrusive photos under his daughter’s skirt.
He acted swiftly, kicking away the man’s phone and tackling him to the ground.
“I couldn’t overlook what he did to my daughter and the other girl he targeted. I had to take action,” Duarte told KTLA as reported by Fox.
The culprit attempted to flee but Duarte and his wife pursued him, capturing images of his car and license plate for the police.
Thanks to Duarte’s swift actions, the police swiftly apprehended the man.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the offender was a convicted sex offender who had targeted multiple women that day.
