Violence is always a terrible thing, especially within relationships. It’s heartbreaking when someone you love inflicts harm on you, and sadly, it happens far too often.
What’s even more shocking is when such violence occurs openly during the day. Recently, a man made a poor choice by attacking his ex-wife on a street in Turkey.
Reported by Hürriyet, one of Turkey’s major newspapers, the assault took place in Istanbul shortly after the couple had started divorce proceedings.
Surveillance footage captured the escalating street argument, showing the man viciously striking the defenseless woman with rolled-up papers until she collapsed.
“He hit his wife,” a bystander reported to The Sun. “She was crying and screaming.”
Thankfully, the abuse did not go unnoticed, and fortunately, it didn’t last long.
Within moments, a brave bystander intervened. This unexpected hero swiftly dealt with the abuser, first headbutting him and then immobilizing him on the ground.
As more people gathered at the scene, the courageous bystander restrained the attacker until the police arrived and arrested him.
The video of the incident went viral online, with many expressing that the perpetrator received a fitting response to his actions.
