A homeless man is currently being praised all over the internet for his actions. He saved two women in New York City.
Last week, security cameras captured shocking images on Pitkin Avenue in New York.
Two elderly women were walking along the street when they were suddenly attacked by an unknown assailant.
Before the two ladies had time to react, the man had knocked them both to the ground with hard blows.
But what the attacker hadn’t counted on was an unexpected hero lurking around the corner, someone who would quickly come to the rescue.
When the assailant tried to flee the scene, a homeless man came to their rescue.
He had seen the coward attacking the defenseless women with his own eyes. He didn’t hesitate for a second when he could help the two elderly ladies with a retaliatory action.
The homeless man chased after the aggressor and knocked him to the ground. He then held the attacker in a headlock until other witnesses could alert the police.
“He risked his life,” said Jacaira Mercedes, a passerby, to CBS Local.
“We should have more people like him around, because he really saved me from getting more injured. And he held the man down until the police arrived.”
The homeless man then went back to the two women to stay with them. He explained everything to the police, and the culprit was arrested.
Thanks to the bravery of this courageous man, both women survived the attack. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and were able to return home safely.
