Mother’s Instinct: Mom Wakes Up to Screaming Son, Acts Fast and Dials 911

It’s every parent’s nightmare to see their child in distress. All they want is to ease the suffering and make things better, but sometimes the situation can be terrifying.

In Macksville, Australia, Tammy woke up to a nightmare as she found a large python on top of her six-year-old son, Tyler, reported by the Australian Daily Telegraph.

Upon hearing her son’s screams, Tammy acted swiftly to investigate the cause.

She soon realized the grave danger her son was in.

Wrapped around her injured son was a nearly three-meter-long python, which had already bitten him in multiple places, as per the UK newspaper The Independent.

Despite Tyler sleeping on an elevated bed, the snake had managed to slither into his sheets.

Extremely dangerous
Tammy saved her son by removing the python from his head. Tyler was covered in blood and had suffered multiple bites.

Tyler was initially taken to Macksville District Hospital before being transferred to Coffs Harbour Hospital for overnight observation, as per the Daily Telegraph.

Veterinarian Narre Warren mentioned to Daily Mail Australia that snakes are more active in warmer weather. Sadly, Tyler’s situation is not uncommon in Australia, where snake bites indoors are a known risk.

A family friend, Craig Baker, intervened by killing the snake and shared the incident on Facebook.

Fortunately, everything turned out well, and Tammy will hopefully recover from this traumatic incident. The thought of finding a three-meter-long snake at home is truly frightening.
