We always love a beautiful ending to a sad story. Sometimes, animals undergo terrible cases of abuse by their own owners. Therefore, when they find a better life, it’s always good news.
That was the case for this so-called ‘miracle dog’, who was thrown off a balcony a few months ago. The four-legged friend has now found a new purpose.
On December 14th, the cops and the local sheriff went to check on a suicidal woman, 35-year-old Allison Murphy. The woman had allegedly attacked the maid and threatened to jump off the balcony of the motel where she was staying. This was reported by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the mentally unstable woman threw her 1-year-old German Shepherd off the balcony.

Murphy was swiftly arrested by the cops and charged with animal abuse.
But amazingly, the dog survived the fall from the second floor. She landed on her feet and was immediately taken care of by onlookers.
The dog was then transferred for treatment and was given the nickname “Miracle.”
This story made headlines around the world in December last year. People were shocked by this bizarre form of animal abuse, but at the same time relieved that Miracle survived.
You may be wondering what happened to Miracle afterward, as well as her cruel owner. Well, the story had a happy ending.
According to ClickOrlando, Miracle was discharged from the animal hospital, and the court ruled that the woman was unfit to care for the dog.
The court also ordered the woman to pay the hospital bills for her dog. An amount of $1,127, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to the charges of animal abuse and resisting arrest, the court also banned the woman from owning a pet for the next five years.
Justice was served, and Miracle was taken in by a foster family.
Meanwhile, Miracle has found a new home and a completely new purpose in life.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, the dog has now become a trained service dog that will assist war veterans.
It’s a positive ending to a shocking story. Miracle is now in better hands and will be able to do so much in exchange for the love she will receive.
“We are grateful for the police personnel because without their intervention, Miracle would have suffered even more,” said Adam Leath of the local animal organization.
“The teamwork between the animal organization and the police throughout the area will be a lasting partnership that provides help and resources for both humans and animals.”
We are so glad that everything turned out well for Miracle. Share this wonderful news!
